Position: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for Critical Care
Become a key member of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at CHEO as a Nurse Practitioner. Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The PICU at CHEO is seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to delivering high-quality medical and surgical care. In this role, you will perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and engage in critical care procedures. Your expertise will contribute to managing a diverse range of complex health disorders among children aged 18 and under.

Key Responsibilities:

• Authorize and coordinate patient admissions and transfers

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and initiate necessary procedures

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic care planning

• Participate in the Emergency Response team operations

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in nursing or equivalent

• NP certification from a recognized Canadian program

• 3-5 years RN experience in pediatric specialty

• 2 years NP experience in pediatric intensive care preferred

• Capable of working collaboratively in a healthcare environment
