Compensation

Pay Range: $41.15 - $58.98 per hour

As a member of the Critical Care Flex Team, you will be trained in both the Neonatal ICU (NICU) and Pediatric ICU (PICU). You will provide direct nursing care to critically ill infants and children, supporting patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for individual patients and families.
• Apply the nursing process and practice standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the hospital, and the unit.
• Provide educational experiences for patients and families to promote wellness and optimal quality of life.
• Maintain competence and foster professional development in nursing practice.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
• Minimum two (2) years of pediatric acute care experience or related critical care or neonatal experience.
• Critical Care courses and certification or equivalent education and experience (Preferred)
• Experience caring for hemodynamically unstable and ventilated patients (Preferred)
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or completion within 12 months of hire (Essential)
• Current Basic Life Support (CPR) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (Essential)
• Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, and family‑centered care skills (Essential)
• Demonstrated culturally sensitive approach to nursing care (Essential)
• Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
• Proficiency in English and French (Preferred)
