Join The Ottawa Hospital as a Registered Nurse in our dynamic 6NW Neurology-Thoracic unit. Thrive in a collaborative environment catering to complex patient needs with specialized skills.
In this role, you will work in a 36-bed unit focused on thoracic, ENT, and respirology patients. With at least three months of thoracic and ENT experience, you will be pivotal in delivering excellent patient care and education. Our team promotes career growth into critical care and other specialties, fostering skills in areas like airway management and chest tubes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for surgical patients
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Conduct patient assessments and tailor education plans
• Engage in self-evaluation and continuous improvement
• Foster a supportive team atmosphere
Requirements:
• Valid registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Three months of nursing experience in relevant fields
• Strong communication skills in English and French
• Dedication to ongoing professional development
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
