Support individuals on their recovery journey as a Practical Nurse in community mental health. Provide critical care and facilitate treatment in a dynamic, flexible team environment.
In this temporary full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering specialized nursing services under CNO standards, focusing on the needs of individuals with dual diagnoses. Your expertise in vital sign assessment, medication administration, and therapeutic communication will be essential in fostering supportive relationships and enhancing recovery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform technical nursing skills and assessments
• Administer medications and provide patient care
• Build therapeutic relationships with clients
• Collaborate with an inter-disciplinary team for effective treatment
• Stay current with required training and certifications
Requirements:
• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program with CNO registration
• Preferred experience in mental health nursing
• CPR/AED certification within last 2 years
• Familiarity with mental health legislation required
• Proficient in English and basic computer skills
