As a vital member of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at CHEO, you will integrate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. This role involves leading the development and implementation of treatment plans while actively participating in patient rounds. You will gain extensive experience in critical procedures and patient assessments, contributing to the overall well-being of our young patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate patient admissions, transfers, and discharge processes
• Perform detailed patient assessments and document care accurately
• Order diagnostic tests and manage treatment plans
• Assist in critical care procedures like intubation and central line placement
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification
• NP certification recognized by Canadian standards
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience in pediatric care
• At least 2 years of NP experience in PICU setting preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential
