Elevate your nursing career with a full-time position as a Registered Nurse in the Women & Children - Surgical Unit located in Ottawa. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing care and ongoing education for quality patient support.
As a critical member of the Women & Children Surgical Unit, you will provide quality nursing care under the guidance of the Department Manager and Team Lead. The role demands two years of Caesarean room experience along with Medical/Surgical Nursing proficiency. Participate actively in promoting a safe, patient-centered care environment while adhering to the Standards of Nursing Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients in the surgical unit
• Maintain skills via ongoing education and CNO requirements
• Engage in quality improvement and risk management initiatives
• Collaborate effectively within the unit team
• Maintain certification and competencies consistently
Requirements:
• BScN and registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
• Two years of relevant Caesarean room and postpartum experience
• IV and BCLS certifications required
• Experience in obstetrics and newborn nursery settings
• Recent birthing RN experience within the last year
