Registered Practical Nurse

Position: Registered Practical Nurse Role at Extendicare
Become a Registered Practical Nurse at Extendicare, providing essential care in a part-time capacity. Utilize your clinical skills to support seniors and ensure optimal health outcomes.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Care and focus on delivering goal-oriented nursing care in compliance with established standards. Performing clinical assessments, updating care plans, and responding to emergencies are central to your responsibilities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance residents' quality of life through coordinated care and education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and care/service plan documentation

• Administer medications and document treatment effectively

• Manage changes in residents’ health conditions

• Assist in scheduling care conferences and resident transfers

• Direct unregulated care providers in daily tasks
Requirements:

• Valid RPN registration in applicable province/state

• Experience in senior care preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Must hold current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

• Vulnerable Position Screening done within 6 months
