This Registered Nurse position centers on supporting elderly individuals facing mental health challenges. Candidates should possess a clear understanding of mental health issues and demonstrate effective communication in both English and, preferably, French. This role requires capability in psychiatric nursing practices and leadership in complex scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver compassionate care to older adults with mental conditions
• Assess and formulate treatment strategies
• Engage with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Stay updated on nursing standards and regulations
• Provide education related to mental health and recovery needs
Requirements:
• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Up to three months of relevant nursing experience
• CPR certification within the last year
• Knowledge of mental health, addiction, and aging
• Strong problem-solving abilities under pressure
