Enhance the recovery journey for older adults as a Registered Nurse at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. This full-time role focuses on Geriatric Psychiatry and supports personalized care plans.
In this temporary position, you will work alongside a dedicated team assessing and managing mental health conditions for patients aged 65 and over. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing collaborative care plans that prioritize improving patient outcomes. A deep understanding of mental health is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate psychiatric health of elderly patients
• Develop collaborative care plans with the healthcare team
• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care as needed
• Ensure adherence to nursing standards and practices
• Advocate effectively for patient needs
Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Up to 3 months of relevant nursing experience
• BCLS certification within the last year
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices
• Proven leadership and problem-solving skills
