East unit specializes in post-surgical care for complex surgeries including liver and pancreas procedures.
Your role will engage you with wound and ostomy care, alongside collaboration with the NSWOC team for vacuum-assisted closures. Emphasizing education and continuous learning, this position requires adapting to dynamic shift patterns, including both day and night rotations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide skilled nursing care to surgical patients
• Assist in managing vacuum assist closure dressings
• Conduct patient assessments and develop learning plans
• Collaborate effectively within the healthcare team
• Engage in personal and professional development activities
Requirements:
• Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Recent acute surgical nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of nursing processes in surgical settings
• Effective communication skills with various stakeholders
• Eligible to work in Canada
