Join The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre as a Registered Nurse focusing on Geriatric Psychiatry. This temporary full‑time role offers an opportunity to support older adults in their recovery journey. In this position, you will work within a dedicated team to assess and manage mental health conditions in individuals aged 65 and over.
Your expertise will contribute to individualized care plans aimed at improving patient outcomes. A strong understanding of mental health is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate psychiatric health of elderly patients
- Develop collaborative care plans
- Provide direct psychiatric nursing care
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards
- Engage in effective patient advocacy
- Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Up to 3 months of nursing experience
- BCLS certification within the last year
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices
- Proven leadership and problem‑solving skills
