Join CHEO as an Oncology Registered Nurse, utilizing clinical expertise in patient care for oncology, hematology, and nephrology. Engage with patients and families to foster recovery and wellness.
In this role reporting to the Manager, you will demonstrate your nursing skills by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for children and families. A key responsibility is applying the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario while working collaboratively within the healthcare team. Your commitment to quality improvement and research will further enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Provide educational support for patients and families
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain professional competence and expertise
Requirements:
• Current Ontario Registration with the CNO
• Vulnerable Sector Check completion
• Current BCLS certificate
• Two years of pediatric nursing experience
• 6 months of experience in Hematology & Oncology preferred
