Become a crucial part of CHEO’s Eating Disorders Program as a Registered Nurse, where you'll provide essential nursing care within an inpatient setting. Your skills will focus on meal support and family-centric clinical interventions.
This role demands expertise in mental health nursing, specifically addressing the complex needs of eating disorders. You will participate in multidisciplinary care, offering psychoeducation and collaborating with families to promote healing. The role combines direct nursing care with essential support activities, ensuring patients receive holistic treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions
• Provide education to families and care providers
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions
• Deliver direct clinical support, including meal support
• Participate in care and discharge planning efforts
Requirements:
• Current Nursing certification and CPR required
• Vulnerable Sector Check mandatory
• Nursing degree preferred
• Paediatric mental health experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills essential
