Join Ottawa Inner City Health as a Full-Time Nurse Coordinator, passionately advocating for health care equity for marginalized populations. You'll utilize harm reduction and trauma-informed strategies to enhance clients' lives.
In this impactful role, you will coordinate comprehensive health care for clients experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include cultivating therapeutic relationships, conducting thorough assessments, and collaborating on individualized care plans within an interdisciplinary team. Your leadership will also guide nursing students and Client Care Workers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build meaningful relationships with clients addressing health distress
• Perform holistic assessments of client health and social needs
• Support informed consent to enhance client engagement
• Coordinate timely admissions and care plan compliance
• Provide clinical leadership and advocacy for clients
Requirements:
• Current RN license in Ontario with the College of Nurses
• 2-5 years of relevant nursing experience
• In-depth knowledge of mental health and addictions
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with EMR systems and harm reduction practices
