Join CHEO as a Registered Practical Nurse in Ambulatory Care, where your nursing expertise will support children and families in a clinic setting. Open to flexibility with shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
In this crucial role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized patient care. Your collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams will ensure efficient clinic operations. Familiarity with referrals and appointment scheduling is vital, along with coordination of transitions to adult services and promoting quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess patients, including vital signs and lab results
• Administer medication as per guidelines
• Monitor patients during procedures
• Coordinate care with health professionals
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support
Requirements:
• Valid registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario
• BCLS certification and medication administration course
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Minimum two years of pediatric experience preferred
• Bilingual in French and English
