Join CHEO as a Registered Practical Nurse, providing essential nursing care in a collaborative clinic environment. Assess patients, assist with procedures, and coordinate care with healthcare professionals.
As a Registered Practical Nurse at CHEO, you will assess individual patients and families while implementing comprehensive nursing care plans. This role requires effective communication and excellent interpersonal skills to work with both patients and the multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring pre- and post-procedural patients and maintaining clinic operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess patients using clinical data and vital signs
• Assist teams during procedures and monitor patients
• Administer medications within your practice scope
• Provide necessary information to parents via calls
• Coordinate care with home care professionals
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario
• Vulnerable Sector Check is essential
• BCLS certification required
• Minimum two years of pediatric experience preferred
• Proficient in both French and English
