This position is at the L09 level with an hourly pay range of $49.73 – $66.42

Reporting to the Operations Leader, the Registered Nurses administer and implement the medical and therapeutic programs ordered by the physician, provide emergency care for stabilization of multiple trauma or critically ill medical/obstetrical patients until medical evacuation can be arranged, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans. As team members, through the provision of treatment services and health education, the incumbent fosters an environment in which clients can achieve and maintain optimal health.

Duties include providing inpatient and outpatient emergency care for the patient; assisting with planning; implementing and evaluating a comprehensive family service; and performing other related duties which contribute to the optimal functioning of the unit.

• Ability to teach nursing practices and other relevant clinical skills
• Ability to develop and implement nursing care/treatment/discharge plans

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
• Current registration with Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA)
• Current CPR certification
• Valid Yukon Driver’s License
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate
• Desirable: ACLS, NRP, and TNCC certification
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in acute care nursing; emergency nursing experience considered an asset
