Registered Nurse, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – Temporary Part-Time

Compensation Pay Range: $41.15-$58.98

In keeping with the mission statement of the hospital and the patient service unit, the nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individual patients/families. The nurse effectively uses the nursing process, practices according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the hospital, and the patient service unit, and provides appropriate learning experiences for the patient and family to promote or maintain wellness and to achieve an optimal quality of life.

The nurse is accountable for maintaining competence while developing the quality of their professional nursing practice.

• Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
• Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
• Current CPR and NRP Certification (Essential)
• Minimum 2 years neonatal experience or other appropriate combinations of education and experience, along with the demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position, which may be considered in lieu of stated education and experience (Essential)
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills (Essential)
• Demonstrated culturally sensitive approach to nursing care (Essential)
• Demonstrated strong family centered care skills (Essential)
• Demonstrated critical care ventilation skills (Preferred)
• Bilingual (English/French) (Preferred)
• Baccalaureate Degree of Nursing (Preferred)
