Your role will emphasize recovery and community integration.
This position as a Registered Practical Nurse focuses on adults aged 18-64 needing intensive support for schizophrenia-related issues. You will deliver holistic care and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include patient assessments and therapeutic relationship development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct patient assessments and administer medications
• Support clients in their recovery journey
• Manage vital signs and basic wound care
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team for optimal care
• Follow safety protocols during patient interactions
Requirements:
• Graduate from a recognized Diploma Program in Practical Nursing
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• CPR/AED Certification within the last two years
• Training in Violence Prevention is required
• Previous nursing experience in psychiatry is preferred
