Part-Time Clinical Scholar Kemptville

Location: Kemptville

Enhance nursing skills as a Clinical Scholar at Kemptville District Hospital on a temporary part-time basis. Provide mentorship to newly graduated and internationally educated nurses.

KDH is seeking Clinical Scholars to fulfill mentorship roles for nurses requiring guidance at the bedside. Applicants must possess a current RN or RPN registration, along with a minimum of five years of clinical experience and current BCLS/CPR certifications. Your effective communication, organizational, and leadership skills will drive quality mentoring and foster a supportive environment for clinical learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide bedside mentorship to clinical learners

• Assist newly graduated nurses and IENs in skill development

• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues

• Demonstrate leadership in clinical education settings

• Commit to patient safety and attend to hospital standards

Requirements:

• Current RN or RPN registration

• Minimum of five years of clinical experience

• Certification in BCLS and CPR

• Experience in teaching or precepting

• Familiarity with CNO entry to practice competencies
