Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a full‑time contract opportunity for a bilingual mental health registered nurse (RN) to join the team in Ottawa, Ontario. This role is a Monday‑Friday day‑shift only (no nights, no weekends) position with a meaningful impact in Military Health Services.
Our mental health nurses provide mental health services in a primary health care setting, responsible for assessment, nursing diagnosis, development and implementation of care plans, crisis intervention, and counseling and life skills programming to clients in the clinic. An important part of this role is to provide counseling services in individual and/or group therapy sessions using CBT, DVT or motivational interview techniques.
Candidates also need to be skilled in bio‑psychosocial assessments and conducting medication management from inpatient and outpatient perspectives.
- All nurses in mental health must be registered nurses or registered psychiatric nurses.
- Registered nurses must, as a minimum, possess a baccalaureate degree in nursing from a recognized college or university with either a certificate in mental health nursing or a certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
- A registered nurse license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice.
- Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare provider or equivalent such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C with annual recertification required.
- Must be able to provide care in both English and French.

- 3 years of mental health nurse experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
