Registered Practical Nurse Night Shift

In this role within the Integrated Schizophrenia Recovery Unit, you will assist adults aged 18-64 living with complex schizophrenia conditions. Your focus will be on recovery and helping clients reintegrate into their communities. The position requires a valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and recent CPR/AED certification to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with daily living and health monitoring
• Execute mental health and physical assessments
• Foster therapeutic relationships with patients
• Carry out medication administration and treatment plans
• Work cohesively within an inter-disciplinary healthcare team
Requirements:
• Graduate from a recognized Practical Nursing Diploma program
• Current registration with Ontario's nursing regulatory body
• Understanding of CNO standards and MHA considerations
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation purposes
• Prior psychiatric nursing experience is preferred
Serve clients on their journey towards recovery at the Royal Ottawa.
