Position: Registered Practical Nurse for Schizophrenia Care
Become a Registered Practical Nurse in the Integrated Schizophrenia Recovery Unit, focusing on intensive support for those with complex conditions. Your care will help clients reintegrate successfully.

In this role, you will assist adults aged 18-64 with severe schizophrenia, aiming for community reintegration. The position requires strong clinical skills, knowledge of mental health legislation, and the ability to build therapeutic relationships. Ongoing professional development is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment plans and administer medications

• Assess physical and mental health conditions of clients

• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships

• Work as part of an interdisciplinary care team

• Perform safe patient handling and emergency support duties

Requirements:

• Diploma in Practical Nursing with current Ontario registration

• Familiarity with CNO Standards and MHA legislation

• CPR/AED Certification obtained in the last two years

• Completion of workplace violence prevention training

• Preferred experience in psychiatric nursing
