The Royal Ottawa is hiring three full-time RPNs for the ASU/Concurrent Disorders Unit. In this role, you will apply your technical nursing skills and knowledge of mental health care to support patients through their recovery journeys. Your commitment to professional growth is crucial in this transformative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage care for clients with substance use disorders
• Perform physical and mental health assessments
• Administer patient care including injections and medication
• Spearhead therapeutic group sessions
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• CPR/AED Certification within two years
• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices
• Proficient in computer skills for documentation
