Become a vital part of the healthcare team at Somerset West Community Health Centre as a Foot Care Nurse. Deliver quality foot care and education to improve patients' quality of life with your specialized skills.
This permanent part-time position for a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) involves working within an interdisciplinary team to assess and treat foot conditions. Candidates should have two to three years of relevant experience along with a foot care certification. Knowledge in EMR usage, especially Practice Solutions Suite, and understanding infection control practices are essential for fulfilling this role effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough nail and skin care treatments
• Educate clients on foot health and prevention strategies
• Ensure infection control and sterilization practices
• Collaborate with Chiropodists and healthcare team members
• Maintain client records in the EMR system
Requirements:
• Valid RPN license with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Foot care certification required
• Current CPR training preferred
• Strong English communication skills, other languages a plus
• Minimum two years of foot care nursing experience
