Casual Nurse Practitioner

Centretown CHC is seeking a casual Nurse Practitioner to join our Integrated Health Services team in downtown Ottawa. Provide essential primary health care with a focus on chronic disease management, health promotion, and disease prevention.

As a casual Nurse Practitioner, you will work alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals, delivering quality care to clients throughout their lifespan. This role requires expertise in complex mental health, addiction issues, and the application of a harm reduction approach. You may also participate in same-day access clinics and cover various clinics focusing on priority populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary health care services to patients

• Focus on health promotion and chronic disease management

• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team

• Offer same-day access clinic support

• Engage with diverse populations using an anti-racism lens

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Nursing

• Minimum two years Nurse Practitioner experience

• Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario

• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

• Knowledge of community-centered healthcare
