The Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice role requiring licensure as an RN (Extended Class) and a Master's or Doctoral degree. You will engage in patient assessments, diagnosis, prescribing medications, and implementing care plans. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and leadership in education and quality improvement are vital aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and examinations
• Collaborate in care plan development with families and teams
• Order diagnostic tests and initiate necessary procedures
• Communicate treatment plans to patients and caregivers
• Provide follow-up care for ongoing patient needs
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent
• Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario (RN (EC))
• 3 to 5 years of clinical nursing experience
• Excellent communication and interprofessional skills
• Current Basic Life Support certification
