This role requires you to champion resident-centred care and oversee nursing staff effectively. You will guide care planning, lead quality improvement initiatives, and inform family and resident councils on care issues. Your efforts will help maintain a compliant and high-quality long-term care environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct clinical programs and manage nursing care staff
• Ensure compliance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act
• Supervise recruitment and scheduling of nursing personnel
• Oversee infection prevention and quality improvement activities
• Handle incident reporting during critical events
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in long-term care
• Proven understanding of relevant legislation and standards
• Valid BLS/CPR certification
• Successful police reference check mandatory
