This role at Para Med enables you to work closely with peer nurses and healthcare teams, enhancing your nursing skills while fostering strong patient relationships. With a part-time schedule offering flexibility, you’ll participate in ongoing training and have opportunities for professional growth within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage wounds, ostomies, and continence care
• Educate team members, patients, and their families
• Consult and support nursing staff on specialty care
• Lead clinical initiatives for wound/Ostomy/continence care
• Mentor and preceptor new nursing staff
Requirements:
• Nurse Specialized in Wound Ostomy & Continence (NSWOC)
• 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a community role
• Membership with Nurses Specialized in Wound Ostomy & Continence Canada preferred
• Completion of International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC) may be considered
• WOCC(C) certification is an added advantage
