Registered Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care

Royal Ottawa Place seeks a qualified Registered Practical Nurse to oversee care for our 64-bed facility residents. You will work within a team to deliver comprehensive support, applying your skills in assessments, medication administration, and relationship building with patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and perform basic wound care

• Conduct vital signs and physical assessments

• Develop therapeutic relationships with residents

• Collaborate with an inter-disciplinary team

• Facilitate group activities and manage patient transitions

Requirements:

• Practical Nursing Diploma and current Ontario registration

• CPR/AED certification within the last 2 years

• Two years experience in psychiatric nursing preferred

• Knowledge of mental health legislation and CNO Standards
