The position requires current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and a passion for mental health and addiction issues. Successful candidates should demonstrate knowledge in psychiatric nursing, possess effective communication skills, and have up to three months of nursing experience. Responsibilities include supporting clients in various community settings and providing education to service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide psychiatric nursing care in diverse community environments
• Educate and consult with community providers on mental health practices
• Monitor and assess clients with mental health/addiction issues
• Demonstrate leadership in complex, changing situations
• Facilitate effective communication within multi-disciplinary teams
Requirements:
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Up to 3 months of nursing experience
• CPR certification within the last 12 months
• Knowledge of mental health and addiction issues
• Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
