In this permanent role, the Director of Care will work close with the leadership team to supervise nursing and personal care staff. You will be responsible for implementing compliance with the Fixing Long Term Care Act while promoting resident-centered services. Engage in effective communication and maintain high standards within the long-term care home.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise nursing care and personal services for residents
• Promote resident and family engagement in care decisions
• Lead investigations into staff and family concerns
• Monitor compliance through audits of care practices
• Establish objectives for nursing teams and programs
Requirements:
• Valid CNO registration certificate
• Three years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care
• Five years of progressive management experience
• Fluent in both French and English
• Preferred:
Master’s degree in health management
