Elevate geriatric mental health care as a Bilingual Nurse Practitioner at The Royal in Ottawa. This full-time role involves advanced clinical nursing and patient assessments to support complex mental health needs.
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at The Royal, you will play a vital role in geriatric psychiatry, providing independent assessments, evidence-based interventions, and comprehensive care plans. Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient flow, medication management, and discharge planning, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Your dedication will contribute to improving the lives of older adults through specialized mental healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake assessments and medication reconciliations
• Develop care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Coordinate patient flow and maintain EHR documentation
• Liaise with community providers for care continuity
• Lead health promotion initiatives for patients and caregivers
Requirements:
• Master's degree in nursing or BScN with NP certification
• 5+ years of nursing experience
• Current RN registration in Ontario (Extended Class)
• Strong communication skills in English and French
• Knowledge of relevant health legislation
