Become a key player in mental health care as a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner at The Royal in Ottawa. This bilingual role emphasizes advanced clinical skills and geriatric patient care.
As a Nurse Practitioner in the Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, you will provide high-quality assessments and care for older adults managing complex mental health issues. This role involves working collaboratively with a dedicated team, developing care plans, and managing medication for patients, ensuring they receive comprehensive treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and intake patients, starting with thorough histories
• Document and coordinate patient care through EHR systems
• Collaborate with teams to create effective care plans
• Facilitate smooth patient transitions and discharges
• Engage in health promotion and education initiatives
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in nursing or equivalent with NP certification
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience
• Current registration in Ontario (Extended Class)
• Strong bilingual communication skills
• Understanding of relevant mental health legislation
