The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse with a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Candidates should possess a valid registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario and current BCLS certification. The ideal applicant will demonstrate both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in caring for General Medicine, Surgical, and Rehabilitation patients while being an active member of the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide safe medication administration to patients
• Deliver compassionate care to General Medicine/Surgical/Rehabilitation patients
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team
• Participate actively in patient teaching and education
• Engage in self-evaluation and continuing education
Requirements:
• Minimum one year of RPN experience required
• Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Completion of medication administration course
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles
