As a Peri-Operative Nurse, you will be responsible for nursing functions from pre-operative assessments to post-operative recovery, operating in both scrub and circulating roles. Your work will directly influence the quality of surgical care patients receive. Enjoy Monday through Friday hours with no evenings or weekends, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage patient needs before, during, and after surgery
• Carry out nursing duties as a scrub or circulating nurse
• Ensure compliance with operating room standards
• Collaborate with surgical teams for patient safety
• Educate patients and families regarding the surgical process
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in peri-operative nursing
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited university
• Registered Nurse certification for Ontario
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary
• Certification in a recognized Perioperative Nursing Program
