- Baccalaureate/Diploma in Nursing
- Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario and a member in good standing required
- Current BCLS, ACLS required or successful completion within period of orientation.
- 2 years Emergency Department experience
- Coronary Care Course or EKG Interpretation Skills preferred or required within first year of employment
- ER course complete or Emergency Nursing Certificate preferred
- Current IV Therapy administration skills
- Commitment to continued education related to position
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to understand, interpret and carry out verbal and written instructions in the English language.
- Ability to work effectively with the nursing and inter-professional team.
- Demonstrated computer competency
- Canadian Triage Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification
- Canadian Emergency or Critical Care Certification
