Registered Practical Nurse

• - Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the provincial College of Nurses standards, legislative requirements, and Chartwell policies
• - Monitor residents’ health status, administer medications and treatments, and accurately document care
• - Support residents during their transition into the residence, ensuring they and their families feel comfortable and informed
• - Respond to resident or family concerns promptly, taking appropriate action or escalating as needed
• - Collaborate with allied health professionals, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• - Provide leadership and guidance to personal support workers and other care staff
• - Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• - Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff

• - Current registration and in good standing with the provincial College of Nurses
• - Current First Aid and CPR certification
• - Experience working in care, retirement, or healthcare (an asset)
• - Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with residents, families, and colleagues

• - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• - Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening required
• - Physical ability to assist residents and perform tasks involving standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
• - Preparedness to respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively
• - Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
