Pediatric Float Team Registered Nurse
Support pediatric patients at CHEO in Ottawa as a permanent full-time Float Team Registered Nurse with broad clinical adaptability. Apply nursing assessment and family-centered care.
This Registered Nurse position assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for individual patients and families. Float Team assignments may address just-in-time needs or longer-term vacancies throughout the hospital. The role offers an opportunity to develop a broad range of pediatric skills while practicing under College of Nurses of Ontario standards and CHEO policies. New hires receive necessary support from a designated Clinical Resource Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess individual pediatric patients and their families
- Plan nursing care according to patient needs
- Implement nursing interventions throughout hospital assignments
- Evaluate care provided to patients and families
- Cover immediate needs or longer-term hospital vacancies
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
- Minimum two years of pediatric experience preferred
- Family-centered approach and excellent communication skills
- Vulnerable Sector Check, Level 3, required
