Provide specialized foot care for diabetes patients as a Registered Practical Nurse at HGH Main Campus in Hawkesbury, Ontario. Work on-site, part-time days.
This permanent part-time Registered Practical Nurse position is 0.4 FTE, with shifts scheduled Monday through Friday. You will assess foot risks, provide foot care, and educate patients about diabetes-related foot care. The position requires specialized training, patient care experience, and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients’ risks for developing foot complications
- Assess foot conditions and maintain patients’ nails
- Remove calluses and corns during foot care
- Educate patients about diabetes and foot care
- Explain prevention, inspection, and when to seek help
- College of Nurses of Ontario registration certificate
- College-level courses in specialized foot care
- Experience providing foot care
- Two years of patient care experience
- Current CPR certification and good assessment skills
Use specialized foot care, patient assessment, and diabetes education skills as an autonomous Registered Practical Nurse in Hawkesbury.
