Pediatric Float Team Registered Nurse

Support pediatric patients across CHEO in Ottawa as a Float Team Registered Nurse using assessment and family-centered care. Develop broad pediatric skills while covering changing hospital needs.
The Float Team Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for individual patients and families. Assignments may address just-in-time needs or longer-term vacancies throughout the hospital. Practice follows College of Nurses of Ontario standards and CHEO policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess nursing care needs for individual pediatric patients and families
- Plan individualized nursing care across hospital assignments
- Implement nursing care according to established standards
- Evaluate care provided to patients and families
- Cover just-in-time needs or longer-term hospital vacancies
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
- Family-centered approach to pediatric nursing care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum two years pediatric experience preferred
