Job Description:
Collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
Produce diagnostic radiographs
Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery
Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian
Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian
Counsel clients on animal health care
May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties
Requirements
Education:
Completion of a two- or three-year animal health/veterinary technology college program is required.
Credential:
Being eligible for a Certification and/or license from a regulatory authority (Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians) is a strong asset.
Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience working with a veterinary cardiologist.
The ability to operate an echocardiogram and other cardiology equipment is required.

Salary: $36.00 hourly, 30 - 40 hours per week.

Important Information:
Flexibility is required. The regular schedule is Tuesday to Friday, 10 hours per day. Occasional work on holidays or weekends when on call.
