In this role, you'll be crucial to maintaining a safety-first culture while mentoring and supporting project teams. Your expertise in the mining sector and familiarity with the BC Mine Act will help you foster relationships with Indigenous First Nations Communities. You’ll collaborate closely with the HSE Superintendent to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations, all while working on-site in a fly-in/fly-out schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with project managers to enhance safety culture
• Monitor adherence to HSE Management Systems
• Conduct mandatory safety training sessions
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
• Facilitate the health and safety plan implementation
Requirements:
• Established safety certification (CHSC, CRST, etc.)
• Minimum 3 years of mining safety experience
• Proficient in MS applications for data management
• Valid Occupational First Aid and WHMIS certificates
• Strong communication and analytical skills
