What you will be doing
  • Planning, executing, and completing Internal Quality audits/assessments and Supplier Quality audits as Lead Auditor.
  • Supporting and working under the guidance of the Lead Auditor, as required, when conducting first and second party audits/assessments.
  • Preparing and issuing audit scopes, audit plans, field work, audit drafts and final reports.
  • Coordinating with auditees and conducting fieldwork at CNL sites and Supplier locations.
  • Preparing for and holding audit opening, closing, and daily debrief meetings; communicating with auditees promptly.
  • Saving all required documents, including daily debrief notes, and evidence gathered during the audit under the audit file in the shared area.
  • Raising Imp Acts for any gaps identified during audits.
  • Providing peer reviews for audit reports and when requested.
  • Getting qualified progressively to Auditor and Lead Auditor roles as the role and associated responsibilities increase during the performance management cycle.
  • Mentoring and assessing of Auditor-in-Training (AIT) & Lead Auditor-in-Training (LAIT).
  • Regularly attending team meetings and sharing updates on planned and ongoing audits and knowledge gained during audits.
  • Ensuring products or services procured by CNL for quality program work are sourced from qualified suppliers capable of delivering a technically acceptable product or service.
  • Developing and maintaining a global supplier assessment plan, utilizing a graded approach to selecting and assessing suppliers and their ability to meet quality requirements.
  • Maintaining the CNL Approved Suppliers Listing-Quality of assessed suppliers.
  • Assisting in the development of procedures, Quality Plans, project-specific plans, and articulating recommendations to management, regulatory authorities and the general public.
  • Assisting in Quality Program reviews and the reviews of Company-wide quality processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for
  • Education
    • At a minimum, a Bachelor’s (Honours) in Engineering or Science from a university of recognized standing, or membership in an engineering or scientific organization authorized by statute to establish qualifications for membership in that organization
  • Experience
    • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in compliance auditing/engineering is desirable.
    • Related experience in a field of specialization.
    • Experience in contributing towards organizational transformation and change management activities is desirable.
    • Auditing and/or assessment training and experience are required.
    • Experience in the application of standards such as, but not limited to: ISO 9001, CSA N286 series, CSA N299 series, CSA N285, ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, CSA B51 ASME NQA-1 and 10

      CFR
      50 Appendix B, ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 10012, ISO 90003 or IEC 61513, CSA N288.4 and N288.5, ISO 14001.

    • Superior communication skills (written and oral), with some experience preparing concise reports on performance versus plan, issues management, and risks; and strong command of MS Office and Oracle software applications.
