About the RoleThe QC Technician is responsible for safely implementing quality control for production and shipping of our products. The main objective is to ensure the consistency and quality of the concrete and to help solve any issues that arise immediately.
What You’ll Accomplish- Test and monitor concrete and aggregate quality for the area and provide monthly reports to quality control team.
- Implement programs and processes to ensure compliance of all products with relevant Codes, Standards, and Specifications.
- Implement Amrize Quality Program, including sampling, testing, reporting and follow up for all products as determined for each site of responsibility.
- Record, monitor and communicate concrete performance with key stakeholders as required - investigate variances from Plan and establish corrective actions as required.
- Provide input to ensure alignment between Sales and Operational staff to ensure product performance meets customer expectations.
- Participate in QC Planning & Activities.
- Effective use of Quadrel and Command software.
- Perform concrete lab trials for new mixes and/or products.
- Provide technical product expertise to sales, dispatch and operations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours
- Education:
Secondary education with experience in construction. - Preferred Education:
Post-secondary education in Civil technology, engineering, or equivalent. - Experience:

Good computer skills for Windows based software (Word, Excel, Power Points). - Soft Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills; capable of creating good relationships internally and externally. - Teamwork:

- Capable of lifting 40 pounds.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
