- Pay rate: $52,000 - 65, 000 | Benefits :
Health, Vision & Dental from Day 1 | Vacation: 2 weeks + 7 sick days and 1 PTO - Location: Ottawa, ON
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
- Job type: Permanent | Full-time
- Supervise daily quality control operations, including incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards across all production activities.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, calibration logs, and corrective action reports.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for nonconformities.
- Train and mentor quality inspectors on inspection techniques, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with production, product line and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Monitor and report key quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, rework percentages, audit findings).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean concepts and A3 problem-solving methodologies.
- Ensure proper handling and traceability of ballistic materials and finished armor products.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Excellent leadership and team development skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management systems (QMS).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality supervision within manufacturing; defense or PPE industry preferred.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodology is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on the production floor.
- Visual acuity for detailed inspections.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
