Gastops’ products and services add value throughout the life cycle of complex critical equipment from the design stage through to in‑service operations and support. We design, manufacture, and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on‑line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at‑line oil analysis systems.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the Quality Assurance Inspector will report to the Team Lead, Quality Inspection and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on the quality control inspections of products.

• Inspect in‑process and finished products for all lines to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
• Complete necessary quality control documentation.
• Perform regular routine audit inspections when required.
• Document inspection findings, including defects or deviations and ensure verifications are performed when rework is completed.
• Monitor and meet required production inspection targets.
• Train new inspectors as required.
• Participate in team quality meeting(s) and provide feedback to team on issues identified after troubleshooting.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Knowledge of AS9100 Quality System Requirements.
• Experience interpreting drawings, technical documents, purchase orders, etc.
• Worked with IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑A‑620, IPC‑J‑STD‑001 is preferred.
• Experience using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc).
• Strong understanding and application of workmanship standards.
• Strong understanding of GD&T.
• Great understanding and application of quality standards and control procedures.

• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in an electronics and mechanical inspection‑related role in a high reliability manufacturing environment.

• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Detail oriented and quality conscious.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (NATO Level Clearance).

• Salary Range for this position: $55,000–$76,000 (final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and fit).
