Materials Inspection Technician

DS is looking for a knowledgeable technician to support projects in the Ottawa area. This role requires expertise in civil construction and materials testing, including soil compaction and concrete evaluations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and a commitment to workplace safety and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field inspection and testing for construction projects

• Perform compaction testing of soils and asphalt

• Carry out concrete testing in line with standards

• Collect material samples and complete documentation

• Monitor construction activities for compliance

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent

• 3–5 years of materials inspection experience

• CCIL certification for concrete preferred

• Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
