Adecco is currently hiring a Calibration Technician for a temporary opportunity until December 31st in West Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced calibration professional with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and experience supporting customer calibration requirements in a quality-focused environment.
In this position, you will perform medium to high complexity calibrations, maintain accurate calibration documentation, support customer requirements, and ensure compliance with quality management systems and industry standards.
  • Pay Rate: $25 - $35/hour
  • Location: West Ottawa, ON
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Employment Type: Temporary Contract until December 31st

Responsibilities
  • Complete calibration services within expected timelines while meeting customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Perform medium to high complexity calibrations in RF, PD, and General Purpose measurement areas.
  • Accurately enter calibration data into tracking databases and maintain detailed records.
  • Create calibration data sheets based on instrument specifications and approved calibration procedures.
  • Complete all required documentation supporting customer requirements, reporting, ISO standards, and quality management systems.
  • Interact with customers regarding equipment requiring repairs, adjustments, or limited calibration services.
  • Apply company policies, procedures, and technical knowledge to complete assigned calibration tasks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on calibration equipment and related systems.
  • Complete calibration work at customer locations as required.
  • Follow all quality management system policies and procedures during daily operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including daily scheduling, visual management, Kaizen activities, and basic problem-solving.
  • Support laboratory operations by completing additional technical and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Must have a valid Reliability Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain a Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Clearance.
  • Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizenship required.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related calibration experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to complete semi-routine assignments while recognizing when alternate approved calibration methods are required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and internet applications, with strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to fully support customer calibration requirements and service expectations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • College degree, continued education, or technical certification considered an asset.
  • Two-year technical certification considered an asset.
Experience with equipment calibration in the following disciplines is preferred:
  • Biomedical
  • General Purpose
  • Physical Dimensional
  • RF
