Health and Safety Specialist at Ainsworth

In this specialist role, you will assist the Manager of HSE, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and maintaining health, safety, and environmental systems. Focus on risk assessment, incident investigations, staff training, and audits. Your collaboration with business unit leaders is crucial in enhancing overall safety performance and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain HSE management systems aligned with COR and ISO standards
• Conduct audits, inspections, and follow-up corrective actions
• Support environmental programs, including waste management
• Provide training and coaching on HSE policies
• Monitor fleet safety and perform incident reporting
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in HSE, preferably in construction
• Post-secondary education in Health & Safety/Environment
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Acts and Regulations
• Experience with COR and ISO standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Lead efforts in health and safety management at Ainsworth, contributing to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
